Projecting greater awareness for obesity helps to address the problem. Obesity can be a touchy subject since it has a variety of causes, but fact-based education can help. The Obesity Action Coalition is a national organization with a focus on representing the obese and preventing the disease in the future. With more than 58,000 members OAC’s core focuses are to raise awareness and improve access to the prevention and treatment of obesity, to provide education on obesity and its treatments and elevate the conversation of weight and its impact on health to offer a community of support for the individuals that are affected.
